This campus will include assisted living (AL), with 24 hour supervision and support with some activities of daily living; and skilled nursing care (SNF), which will include full health, clinical, and wellness services.
The new campus will be a 54-bed SNF (divided into three separate 18 bed households), 21
traditional assisted living suites, and 16 dementia living suites. The design approach was influenced heavily by the heritage of the local community. All spaces will be thoughtfully designed and appointed to support the unique needs of the population being served. There will also be common space that will be shared for the entire campus that will include restaurant style dining, wellness/spa space and the appropriate laundry, housekeeping, administrative offices, and locations for spiritual life programs. There will also be ample outdoor activity areas and parking for residents and guests. The skilled nursing beds will be built around a household model. The intent is to create three (3) 18-bed households to serve traditional long term care and short term transitional care residents. The design of each will be supportive of the population being served.
The traditional long-term care households will be very similar to a home with all the institutional design removed, replaced with residential features. All bedrooms will be private, showers in the rooms, larger/lowered windows, additional bonus space for furniture and sitting areas to allow families to more easily interact when visiting, and the common spaces will replicate a true home. The house will have a full-service kitchen, living room, four season room, front door, attached garage, and other residential features. The households will have their own separate and private entrances, and the employees will be specifically trained for the population being served.
